azeemjaved
Helo, is this possible to make a software having minified headless versions of 3dsmax, Maya and v-ray, if anyone install this app in his pc , can share the resources of the pc . so suppose if we have 100 pc , install same app in all pc , so we have access to the resources of 100 pc, and we can assign a render job to those 100 pc ? which take less time to render a large 3d file. ???? Francisco Penaloza
no idea what is your question then. You are asking how to use other computers to render one image or several of them? if so Backburner, or Distribute rendering should work for you. Francisco Penaloza
This is for V Ray DR http://help.chaosgroup.com/vray/help/150SP1/distributed_rendering.htm This is for Backburner http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-set-up-a-basic-render-farm-s.html Quick answer, is Yes you need to install 3D Max, Maya and VRay in all the machines. no need to register 3D Max or Maya, only install as demo. VRay depending of the version will be limited to the number of nodes to use, VRay 2.X has unlimited nodes, VRay 3 you have to pay for extra render nodes. azeemjaved
How about renting 5 dual xeon render nodes with most rendering applications installed for 1 day unlimited access for $100 ?

azeemjaved
sorry I really don't know what is your question about. i am building a commercial render farm with 50 nodes, in pricing i am offering unlimited Rental of nodes, for example Access to 5 nodes for 1 day unlimited access = $100 Access to 5 nodes for 7 days unlimited access = $550 Access to 10 nodes for 1 day unlimited access = $180 Access to 10 nodes for 7 days unlimited access = $1000 and Access to 10 nodes for 30 days unlimited access = $4000 does the above figures make sense?
