Peter M. Gruhn
I have a bunch of wavy lines crossing each other. I'm going in and trimming out segments to make ... sparse checkerboards. Except Spline Trim kind of sucks. The first trim usually work but then the new verts aren't on the line so the next trim misses and jumps to somewhere else. I have to go in and tweak a ton of verts just to make things cross. This is bad because 1) it needlessly wastes a ton of time; 2) it makes different trim sets not exacly the same. Fortunately I don't need perfect abutting seams this time. Any tips for making trimming work better?
Corey Beaulieu
Hi Peter. I'm sure someone will pop on here and tell you about some plugin or tool set that can emulate the functions of CAD or Rhino, but until they do I would suggest you do Spline edits of that magnitude in another software. I love Max, but it is not for spline edits, that's for sure. It imports well though. Long time, no see. I hope all is well with you.
