jonathan Evans
I understand that fresnel reflection makes highlights or reflections of objects stronger depending on the viewing angle .The glossiness controls how blurred the reflections appears. When ticking the box on the fresnel reflection and not ticking the L box. The box adjacent to the tick box . what is the defaut value . When ticking the box but not ticking the L box . As the value does not say - see atached image
Chris MacDonald
1.6, you use the IOR of the refraction. They are linked - as they would be in real life.
Nicolai Bongard
The checkbox is if you want fresnel or not, the L button = locked, and the default value is 1,6. If you unlock it, you will be able to change the value from the default 1,6 to something else.
jonathan Evans
ok i understand is 1.6 a good value for wood around that figure

jonathan Evans
I have changed the default value before and changed the refraction settings . I have created glass and glass does require refraction. As ive read that refraction is when light bends and glass has this apparent in its material Thank you for you reply. As this making it easy to remeber as gives me clarification
