Ricardo Eloy
Hey, m8s! This maybe a dummy question, but I ran into it just today... I have a wood material with raytraced reflections. The problem is that when the reflection is off, the rendering comes out just fine. When I turn it on, it blows all raytraced reflections in the scene. Has anyone had the same experience? abicalho
Do you have a background color? If so, try setting it black. Alexander
Ricardo Eloy
Hum....worked. But why?
abicalho
When the reflection hits the max depth, it then uses the background color instead of continuing the ray. With exposure control, the background color has a lot of energy because it needs to be inverted and considered in Floating point. This causes the problems you're seeing. Ideally one should not use a background image or color, but instead model a billboard and apply a color/bitmap to it. Alexander
