jonathan Evans
I have set up quick teapot render in vray . I was checking the effect of ignore light normals. I have unticked and ticked the box i have a standard indoor sphere light set up 1 bulb at temp 2300. As any one any example of images of how ignore light normal effects the scene. In my scene this has not made any change. attached to see example cheers
Corey Beaulieu
Try your same experiment using a plane and you should see the difference. https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3/VRayLight# A sphere has a surface normal in all directions and this option tells the light to focus its emission towards the surface normal or not. I have not tested this, but that is what the help menu says.

siddharthkolte
I am trying to look for the option in my Vray, but I can't seem to find it to test it. I am using Vray 3.0 in 3dsmax Design 2014.
