Dejan Sparovec
I just recently saw that sp3 was available and installed it even though I didn't have any problems, just wanted to be up to date, but I've discovered that it introduced a new annoying bug. Save and open functions default to the "scenes" folder inside My documents. Earlier they would default to wherever the .max file you opened was located. So now if I want to make an incremental save I need to browse to the correct folder and many times I just forget, so my "scenes" folder gets crowded with files that don't belong there and I often search for them or open wrong files because of this. So my question is, is there a way to change this behavior or just revert back to sp2? Thanks!
Justin Hunt
This happened before SP3, so now I do a "Save As" when doing incremental saves. I found that if I open a file from the "recent" list then it reverts to the my documents folder, but if you use file->Open , it saves to where ever it was opened from

Dejan Sparovec
Oh, I see, yep, good to know. But it never happened in SP2 for me... By the way, it also reverts to default if you open a file directly from windows without having already started max, which is what I usually do, so it's still annoying to break some habits... Thanks!
