blown out white spot / checked lightning pass and it good. im confused why

I have created some curtains which have a vray 2 sided material applied. Iuploaded the lightning pass and the global illumination and nether of the passes ican see have an issue . The final render scene the white area is to bright all the curtains shape is lost due to the over bright area. . In the lightning pass they look good. and same in the gi curtains are fine .

 

The final render image is not looking good .

 

Please can any offer some advice regarding the following . How can resolve this issue

Also,

 

Your window should be blown out. You should expose for artificial lighting which will blow out your environment or you should expose for the environment which will be overly dark in your interior.

 

To balance this you either need to render twice and composite or render dark and paint it to be bright in post. Neither will appear natural.

i might have standard material on the pillows. I did have standard materail on the covers i have just changed the cover to vray material and new diffuse map added.

I have relook at th ee pillows an d make sure place a vray material on them. The pillows do hanve unnatuaral looking shadow at minute i drop a vray material on them

Ive increased the light subdivs to 128 to remove some of the noise on the cushions . Ive changed the material to a vray material on the cushions. There is still quite a bit of noise . Could my material have pure white on the cushion above 255 . would this be a reason for the weird cushion light

 

no w i either render dark mention or light and overlay the twoimages in post production shall i use magic bullet or photoshop

 

 

 

Ive seen some post production completed in magic bulet. i am newbie i am unsure how to compostite my elements . I can only guess to render them out in seperate element passes(lighting . ambient occlusion ect .
