ediskujovic
I have this simple scene with a House and 5 Proxy trees. I will add grass, background and other details in photoshop. It has been rendering for 8 hours now and trees take most of the time. The Settings are simple, IM+LC all at 65%. Resolution 1500x879 I have an Intel-Core i7-4790; 3.6Ghz; 18GB RAM. I’m using Embre and 12gb dynamic memory. BF+BF was like 10 hours for a third of the image. Edited June 4, 2015 by ediskujovic
Nicolai Bongard
Are the leaves opacity mapped? If so, try to turn off the blur and change filtering from pyramidal or whatever it is called to none on the opacity map, see if that helps.
Corey Beaulieu
Vray 3 added an Opacity mode to the material. If your trees aren't too close to the camera you may consider switching this to "Clip". It should speed up opacity maps. There is an example at the bottom of this page: http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3/VRayMtl#
ediskujovic
I turned the blur of and changed the filter to none. I guess it worked since it goes a lot faster now. Ill tray and "Clip" it later and see if that improves it as well. Thanks for the help Bf+Bf still seems slow as hell.
jasonstewart
Bf+Bf is slow as hell that is why no one uses it. IM+LC or BF+LC is the way to go.
