D C
We are currently looking for a new 3ds Max tree plugin that works with V-ray. At the moment we have Itoo's plugin installed but we are having numerous problems with it and have done ever since we booted it up. I also find it sluggish - the interface clunky, and 90% of it's features we don't use! I'm looking for a simple clean plugin that works with V-ray, one that renders high quality tree's and vegetation. From experience, can anyone recommend a plugin studio level alternative? Many thanks. Chris MacDonald
You're having problems using Forest Pro? It is arguably the best there is out there at doing what it does. What exactly is it that you're struggling to do? You could try multiscatter, but that lacks some of the (superb) features that forest pro has. tonybishop
3ds max has it's own built in foliage Autodesk has not updated since the early versions which is a shame, and it's very disappointing IMHO just like the windows, doors and stairs. anyway if you are on the standard primitives use the drop down box choose AEC extended and choose foliage
Chris MacDonald
I honestly don't recommend using the AEC foliage on account of it being beyond awful.
