richardcousins
I'm currently trying to export some 3D models to collada format so I can import them into a piece of software called Studio Store Visualizer by Esko. Now with OpenCollada I am able to do this but the problem I am having is all my maps appear washed out and faded when viewed in studio visualizer. Does anyone have any idea why? I've made my textures standard and deleted all lights from the scene and selected the unit and products I want to export but I just cant stop the maps from being washed out. Francisco Penaloza
One problem can be gamma, but I am pretty sure Max does not change gamma of exported textures. are you sure is the texture that is brighter and not the material that is too glossy? Remember that when you are planning to export your scene you should use standard materials, NO V Ray Mental Ray or whatever render engine you use within Max. tonybishop
this is in the wrong section you would need to put it in the collada fourm. This is for 3ds max only. i don't think this fourm has a collada room so you would need to join another fourm! that deals with collada
