richardcousins
I have a TV that will be mounted to a wall that I want to render. But sat behind the TV will be LED lights so you can see a glowing beam of light from behind the TV. The TV will be slightly spaced off from the wall. The problem I am having is creating glowing material that glows enough. Does anyone know how this can be achieved? I've tried using lights but cant make it work as it never points in the direction I want it to. Is it possible to create an object that glows a fair bit? Matt McDonald
glow is usually done in post. you can turn on the glare shader for mental ray but it's still a post effect applied render's end (with no ability to tweak or turn-off) without a re-render. marcellabbe
If your using Vray, you might want to test a Vray light material.
marius e
I have gone through glow many times and post is always better...less render time, less set up and testing and overall more control in post.
