Chris MacDonald
Sounds to me like you are trying to run before you can walk. You've made an animation in Navisworks? I'm not familiar with Navisworks, does it track footage? [edit] Just googled it and it looks to me like you're using entirely the wrong software. You can't create an animation like that without tracking the shot first. Edited June 15, 2015 by Macker
Justin Hunt
I take it you have done the building animation already and you are struggling with the camera animation? You will need camera tracking software that can track the footage and crate a camera path to use in either Max or Maya. Then have the tracked camera merged with the animated building. After that there is a whole bunch of post processing to be done. Overall its not a one step process and quite tricky to pull off successfully. Jon Berntsen
Yep, just getting the distortion solved out in the correct step was a big issue for me. Also getting the footage to not float even if you thought you had tracked correct is pretty daunting. Actually, I´d say tracking footage is one of the hardest thing you can do in what we do. Based on my own experience. But not trying to take away your ideas and dreams here. You just need some good software and spare/development hours to make it happen. Good luck to you, and all the best!
