Light not going through glass & spots everywhere

Hi everyone !

I'm new to the forum so first I'd like to introduce myself a bit : I'm an architecture student from belgium but currently living in Valencia, Spain and for next week I need to produce renders (day&night) of the Barcelona Pavilion with 3DS Max and Vray for the university.

However, the problem is I can't find why the lights don't go through glasses (well it does but in a strange way) and why I keep getting this weird spots all over the image. I found a way to get rid of them by disabling caustics but if I want to get this effect and increase the photons, my computer just crashes. What would you do ?

I'm sorry if there's already a thread about that, I've searched it first but couldn't find anything. Also I found this : http://cienel.net/3d-studio-max-tutorials/vray-realistic-caustic-effect-in-3d-studio-max but it doesn't really work for me.

Could anyone tell me what's wrong ? I'm desperate really :(

Thanks guys ! ;)

(PS : I can send my 3ds file if needed but since I'm new to max, I don't know how to export with materials, textures and so on)

EDIT : I've found how to let the light pass through glass : by excluding it from ambiant light parameters. However I still have that strange reflection in the lower part of the glass and caustics are still not working..
