reyanansari
Hello Guys, This is my second Interior and I am kinda confused right now. Lighting doesn't seem to be behaving in a natural way. I have used vray sun adn 2 vray plane light on windows. Secondly, how to deal with too much noise on materials, for example Table. Lastly, how is color combination? Huge critics are welcomed because they will help me improve. Thanks...
reyanansari
I have also attached the reference image.
Corey Beaulieu
Couple of quick thoughts would be: Your glass material is not properly set to Color+Alpha as well as Affect Shadow The noise on the table and in other materials would go away with higher subdivisions on the reflection in the material I would not use Self-illuminated materials on lamp shades. Use a slightly transparent fabric with an omni/sphere light behind it.
reyanansari
Great. When I checked about the glass material of windows I found that I havent put any glass over there...just the windows and no glass. That might be the problem. But Corey, Vray lights plus omni light? Would that work together well? Sorry I am a new user to Vray. Mind me if I am asking a childish question.
Corey Beaulieu
They work fine together. You just have to be sure and set your shadow type to Vray Shadows. But I was suggesting that as an either/or scenario.
reyanansari
Great Great Sir. I am gonna try these things tomorrow morning as I am away from my work desk now. And I am surely gonna comeback with more questions if you dont mind
jasonstewart
Why is it 2x as wide as the reference? Seems like a strange decision to make if you are trying to match it. Its making the FOV crazy on the end tables and lamps.
reyanansari
Hey Jason, I was not trying to match it. I wanted it to look more spacious but I must admit it that I am facing crazy FOV issue also. any suggestions?
jasonstewart
Either back the camera up and use clipping plane to cut through the wall, reduce the FOV and crop some of what you are currently showing out, or make the room narrower.
Chris MacDonald
Composition isn't great. Move the camera to the centre of the room and shoot straight down the middle.
Tommy L
your reference is a 3d render, thats not a great place to start.
