Activeshade window no where to be seen!

Hi all,

 

I'm wondering if you can throw me a quick answer:

 

I'm unable to see the Activeshade window whenever I hit it it from the render menu. I've tried it with each renderer I have including vray RT. I can see everything is computing, and I get the vray text screen that shows everything is loading - yet no pop-out frame window itself. I can also get it working in a viewport, however in that mode I'm not able to set the a vray camera to Activeshade, only a perspective viewport (so can't visualize with camera settings).

It's under the quick render button, hold the mouse button down on the quick render production you will get a fly-out (a drop-down) menu, the Active shade is the second or third one down, in the old version which i am using max 9 mine has the red teapot and max 9 only has two options before autodesk updated their features in the newer version they added three buttons! so it will be the second or third one on that fly-out menu
