Making progress

From the last post I´ve made here, I´ve make some changes in my way of work, after made a dayligth tutorial, I´ve turn the dome of ligths into a standard ligth scheme.

the model still came out of my old an faithful R14 and now after modelling the building, on the max, first I adjust the ligth(just put the dome into...) and the camera, after I came out satisfied with the result, then it´s time to attach the textures and the uvp mapping(first the uvp then the mapping).

well heck!!!! you've certainly come a long way since you posted a couple of weeks back. :)

looks like the lighting is slowley getting there. but keep on experimenting. as before, the modelling looks decent enough (hey, i still think autocad R14 was the best release they ever made too).

2 more things to start looking at. both equally as important as the other things you're learning - texturing and composition.

your texturing will improve the more you try it. but a tip - stear clear of standards. look at the sky, the demo rpc people, the rpc demo trees, the noise mapped road, and the wooden window frames, the stock model of the car etc etc. infact, every texture you have in there are basic free standards which everybody has used to death and really do kill your images.

Be more creative, more individual. make your own. take out your camera and photograph something new and unique. never use free downloads and standards like this if you can avaiod it.

and composition - this is something you'll learn with experiance again. learn and experiment, and mostly be aware. look and thing about where you place the camera in the scene, what the massing looks like, the 'interestingness' of the view, the ratios of the scene and a general good balance which is pleasing to the eye.

but comming on nicely. how about some more to show us?

The lighting looks odd.

The area under your eaves is always darker than the rest of the wall. Are your lights that point up maybe too bright?

Also need some texture on the walls.

Got to be joking about the car, right?

*hello mr. zortea, i have some pointers on your images: 1. general lighting needs some adjustments, thus it does not correspond to your background. 2. the design of the house doesnt shows as the main concept, your fence cover it, it seems that you are showing the house peremeter's instead and try to remove the car, or just show a portion of it. 3. (first the uvp then the mapping)., it should be vice versa, map first then uvw. 4. adjust teh camera little far away.

*i hope these could help..

*keep posting! :D

To IPDesigner: I agree that the fence cover the house, but the architect want it this way(I think that he wants to show the front wall instead of the house). The car was just to play with, this one the architect didn´t saw.

About the ligth area just below the roof, I just don´t know what happens.

anyway, I´m going on...

thanks for the comments...

more posts will come and Strat, you´re rigth I have to make my own texture, about the cars, maybe some tuning version would be more acceptable, but the fact is that I seldom find brasilian models of car(I´ll love to use in my works a Corcel, a Chevette, a Belina, an Opala and so on)

Well, at least you don´t said nothing about the Chevette(I´m a very proud owner of one and member of the Chevette Club).

on a few days I`ll be posting another work and at this time I´ll make some experiences with another backgrounds...
