Hello. I have a quick question about 3DS Max 2016 with the lates V-ray version.

When I render with V-ray, I just see the object but the background is all black with no light. I found this 3D model online and wanted to see how v-ray render this model but all I see is the object which look great but the background is all black.

I have attached the picture what it suppose to look like with all the lighting effect.

Thanks for any advice!

Here is where I got the 3D model from this website and you can download it for free:

I put this model in my Desktop. Does it matter where the 3D model is located? Or does it need to be in a specific location? Also, does it matter what version of 3DS max and V-ray version? Maybe I am seeing the black background because I am not using the correct 3DS Max and V-ray version.

You need to create a floor and wall (and ceiling perhaps) with very rounded, filleted corners, but with no wall behind the camera. In other words create a "C" shape in the left viewport and extrude. Paint it white. Google search "Vray Studio Lighting tutorial"
