avi problem

Hello i need help for improve the quality of this animation render in max 6

 

i use microsoft video 1 in 100 % of all but the avi look bad.

tip, render the sequence as images, *.jpg or *.tif (better) and then make the avi file in a video editing program such as Adobe Premiere, that way u can control the quiality of the video and make several tries with different values and quality.

He's right once you've compressed the AVI that's the best image you’re going to get. If you save out as individual TIFF's then you can import them and compress them to any level of quality that you want. A good compositing program is Adobe Premiere.

and if you cant afford 500 quid then max's video post will compile tiffs. as will viz using backround rendering.

the "problem" with microsoft video 1 codec is that it only supports 65000 colors so thats why you get those "banding" in your colors. Try rendering AVI with a different codec, like intel indeo 5.1 or as pointed above to jpg's or uncompressed tiffs or tga's. And then video post them together in video post..
