How is MSI Z97 PC mate + MSI GTX N750 TI TF + i7 4790K?

Recommended Posts

I'm gonna buy MSI GTX N750 TI TF and i7 4790K. I'll not overclock the processor. Still choosing the K version just because its base clock speed is better than the non-K version even considering the price bump. Do I need to buy anything better than MSI Z97 PC Mate motherboard? Like Z97 Gaming3 or Gaming5? If I need to, please let me know why.

I use 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion 3D, SketchUP and AutoCAD. All of them depends mostly on CPU I guess, no? Suggestions on any of the components of the following configuration will be much appreciated too. Budget is not very flexible unless too necessary to run these components in harmony.

i7 4790K, MSI Z97 PC Mate, MSI N750 TI TF, Transcend DDR3 (8GBx2)=16GB, Transcend SATA III 6Gb/s SSD 128GB, Western Digital WD20EZRX 2TB SATA HDD, Corsair 450W Gaming PSU, Corsair Spec 02/03 casing, Dell S2240L 21.5" LED...

Please, mention your total budget and the e-shop you are planning to buy from. You can't get the help you need this way.

22" screen is too small for a designer. 24" is a minimum.

Thanks for your kind response. Okay, I'll go for a 24'' one. I'm buying locally. Compared to e-shop, my budget is approx 1250 USD. Saying the budget this way makes little sense, I know. But you'll have to pardon me on that and should guess based on the components I mentioned.

It's not exactly like that, my friend, and pardon me. If you are buying locally then prices can vary by great amount compared to a, lets say, USA store. Could you please give a link of the specific local store you are planning to buy from?

And don't forget one thing. No one's obliged to help. We just want to help because we like so.

Sure. All the prices in this site are in BDT and my total budget is something around 1,00,000 BDT. Thanks in advance.

This was the best I could do, but it is much better now.

I don't know exactly where to look at, but you should buy a good air cooler at some point, because the 4790K runs hot, especially during rendering. The stock cooler is completely inadequate.

I really don't know how I can thank you enough for going through such a painstaking process of making a whole configuration for me. Really didn't expect this much and so didn't mention these other two sites http://www.computersourcebd.com and http://www.ucc-bd.com ..... You can check if you missed some other options along with the cooler. My heartiest thanks to you.

I've checked them out, but didn't find something tempting to make a change with. The only affordable solution for aircooling was this

http://ucc-bd.com/frio-extreme-cpu-cooler-2-140mm-fan-cu-al.html

It's a pretty decent cooler, but a bit noisy at full fan speed. Make a research about it, and put it in schedule for buying at some point.

Ryanscomputer was the best in prices, so stick with it. The only thing I would change is the monitor just to get something wider, but I couldn't find a 24" alternative that was worth the money. Dell is a solid choice, and even at 23" wont disappoint you.

PS And you are welcome! ;)

For a little bit lower price go to binarylogic. And one stop gaming solution. They r good and very helpful. And for that 24" monitor go to pcworldrajshahi.

All of this vendors warranty policy is good. In some cases better than ryans. Good luck.

If you start to work with a 24" monitor you'll realize the huge difference. I went from 22 to 24" and believe me, it was different and much more easy to work with. Now, even 24" seam small, from the moment I started to work with reference files and various helpers. The best solution for a designer is a dual monitor setup, but when the budget is tight one should try to get the biggest size his money can get, but always with the appropriate resolution.
