vizwhiz
hi There Vizards and All here is my latest work in Progress something is going on here that is probably obvious to others on the South facing glass (just where the Sun does shine) is turning opaque dark gay but the east and west facing interior courtyard glass is looking ok this file keeps blowing up on me and i end up losing the file so i am going back to a previous version and reapplying the glass materials what am i missing on This?? (see attached glass settings) the raytrace runs the program out of memory every Time so This is a flat mirror approach Thanks for any and all advice Randy
pmanahan
My first thought would be to turn off "self illumination". If that doesn't work maybe the specular levels should be at 0 or the diffuse at black, not light blue. pmanahan

salf
no idea.....I mean, it happens only on the surface of glass where the sun hits directly, the part of the glass thats under the roof shadow is transparent, but this doesnt happens on the other facade as you said......pretty weird..... The glass is a plane?...or is it a solid? EDIT: nevemind, i see you already solved it
