Marco Manunta
1) get a physical camera and set it with f number: 6.0 // shutter speed: 60 // ISO: 200 generally 2) get a vray plane light and set it to 3.0 3) get a vray plane 4) render settings: irradiance + light cache make this test.. This is not how things work. A Vray light is dependent upon its size so the global statement of "get one" is not going to help everyone. There is just not enough info in the question to get a real answer.

He says that he had a simple scene, it seems it's the first time he uses vray, so the first test to see if everything works ok (licence?bad isntallation?or what about a bad crack?), is to set a very simple scene. Once you see something in the frame buffer, we can speak about others scenes imho..
timothyhanson
Perhaps the OP doesn't know how the physical cam works in that the default f-stop of 8 would take a dimly lit scene and make it seem black to someone that doesn't know how to expose an image with a real camera. Set the f-stop to 1, if it doesn't illuminate the scene then the problem is not the physical cam. Process of elimination.
