Sanj
anyone know how to use them? they are quite unlike their concrete, wood and floors as they come with meshes that are grouped. When I create a material that looks good in preview and is based on the naming and apply it to the meshes, the entire map gets applied to each individual gravel.. any help would be much appreciated. jasonstewart
I think that is just if you wanted to use geometry close to the camera. Just apply it to a plane like usual I believe.
Francisco Penaloza
the mesh should be mapped already, are you applying a UVW modifier or something? maybe in your shader the coordinated change to world or something.
braddewald
Yes, the Arroway Gravel collection comes with two types of gravel so it's a little confusing. There are the standard type of maps that can be mapped and applied to a surface as a material, and there is actual geometry. This geometry is pre-mapped (as well as randomized) and for each type of granite there are several colors. When applying the corresponding maps to what they call the "base mesh" it should work correctly out of the box. aristocratic3d
Can you show a wireframe of the geometry?
Sanj
Here you go ! I have also included all the different meshes, textures and materials that make the gravel set.. Braddewald..you seem to know but your reply wasnt clear enough for me.. In any case, Thanks all

Nicolai Bongard
From the Arroway site: Gravel Textures This product contains a total of 134 gravel textures, based on 15 different gravel styles. Each texture consists of diffuse, bump, normal, displacement and reflectivity maps, as well as a number of special maps that will help you to modify the gravel textures or to create entirely new textures. Also included are ready-to-use material setups for 3DS Max™ and MaxwellRender™. Gravel Meshes As a first on the market, we offer gravel 'textures' in form of real 3D geometry. This product contains gravel meshes based on 15 different gravel styles in sizes of 4m² and 16m². All meshes are provided in .max format (compatible with 3DS Max™ 2010+), as well as .obj format (compatible with many other applications). Stone Textures Meant to be used with the 3D gravel meshes, this product also contains especially optimized stone textures in 257 different styles and colors, based on 94 distinct sets. Each texture set consists of diffuse, bump, normal, as well as reflectivity maps. As with the gravel textures, we also provide ready-to-use material setups for 3DS Max™ (2010+) and MaxwellRender™ (2.x). --- Thus it seems like it is the stone textures you want to apply to your gravel geometry. The other textures would be for planes with displacement i guess.
