Apple ipad with stylus

Well to me is a good thing, from the competitive point of view. Competition always create more innovation and lower prices to the customers, now being Apple, this is not the case, actually right the opposite, but oh well.

Now straight comparison with a Cintiq to me is a little unfair. Wacom has a great product, and it is fully compatible with all Pro apps, such Illustrator,Corel suite, Photoshop, ZBrush and many more.

To use the IPad pro you need to use smaller apps, this can be good, it can be bad too.

Eh, not impressed at all. We'll see what apps Adobe develops for it, but I still won't think about getting one. I'll stick with one of the many other tablets out there that run a full OS and I can install whatever app I have on my desktop onto my tablet. Also, a table that doesn't need some "get lost all too easy and have to pay $100,000 for a replacement" lighting to USB adapter.

In fairness, a Cintique is a display, so has to be attached to a computer. The ipad will be stand-alone and more mobile. I wasn't thinking I would be running my 3D apps on it, but maybe drawing programs. I have an ipad and a stylus and never draw on it. So there is that, too.

I had been interested in the Surface Pro for all the reasons Scott mentions. We'll see.
