Tim Saunders
I have a photo I need to use for my background (a common request) and I get an annoying halo around my geometry when I save the image as a png, and add a background in photoshop. I tried just using the image as a viewport background image, and it renders really dark. See images below. Are there any suggestions?
Corey Beaulieu
When you are adding the background in post are you rendering the Max Background as Black?
Tim Saunders
No. I just leave the v-ray sky environment in there. Should I be changing that to a solid black?
Corey Beaulieu
Yeah... rendering it on a solid black background should get rid of the fringing (halo).
Msamir
Try choosing the render layer in photoshop then Layer>matting>defringe 1-2 pixels are enough, if it doesnt work try remove white matte
Tim Saunders
Thanks guys. Looks like a combination of both is working perfectly.
