Jon Berntsen
Hi! I am looking for hi quality people, like what renderpeople.com has. Renderpeople is good for exteriors, but they all have shoes on. That means, not very suitable for interiors. Any ideas?
Nicolai Bongard
Model some socks? =) I think you will be hard pressed to find scanned people without shoes, unfortunately!
Jon Berntsen
Hm, yes, maybe that's the only viable solution.
Devin Johnston
Future scan has a very large library of HD 3d people, I've purchased about 50 of them so far and have been very happy. http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Index.cfm?keyword=futurescan
Ernest Burden III
Future scan has a very large library of HD 3d people, I've purchased about 50 of them so far...] Those look very good, thanks! If you are looking for people for interior it probably means you don't just want bare feet, you want different poses. Most 3D people are in business/public affect, people behave differently in private space. Perhaps you would want to buy figures that come in something like FBX with a rig so you can do some re-posing. As if we all have time for that. John Dollus
unfortunately, this method isn't conducive to adjusting poses with rigs because the fit of the clothing is part of the pose at time of acquisition. Dosch has just released some photo-modeled entourage with various poses of the same models in the same wardrobe. The quality doesn't seem as good as futurescan but it's an option (still with shoes). The OP brings up an interesting point. In some countries, it's customary to remove shoes at the door when entering homes. As far as I can recall (more than 2 decades in this business), I have never seen any interior residential entourage portrayed without shoes so i would suggest the practice of non-observance is generally accepted when it comes to renderings. If a client insisted, I'd propose a custom photoshoot estimate to satisfy their need for extreme details. If it's that important to them, they can pay for it. Otherwise, put a plant in front of them. Justin Hunt
every time I put shoeless people into images, I get asked to either put shoes on or change the people Easy enough to do in PS
