Looking for advice on my build!

Recommended Posts

Hi Forum!!!

I looking for some advice here.

I got a build on its way but I might be missing something. I will like to utilize the Geforce and the Quadro. I mainly use my computer for renderings, CAD work and 3D modeling (Autodesk products).

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Corsair H55 57.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VII GENE Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage: Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Storage: Western Digital Green 4TB 3.5" 5900RPM Internal Hard Drive

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Case: Fractal Design Node 804 MicroATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Monitor: (2) Dell P2314H 60Hz 23.0" Monitor

Video Card: PNY Quadro 4000 2GB Video Card

Video Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 Ti

Oh yeah I running windows 10. I'm looking for suggestion or ideas to make this build better, anyone with experience with dual gpu, does it work? is it a good idea?

Thanks!

Hola Juan,

there is lots and lots and lots post in this forum talking about this, please take a look and see what are the pros and cons.

my only opinion here, that also been talked several time, would be that your choice of video cards seems a little outdated. in today's market there is much better performance cards within the same budget than a quadro 4000 or gtx 660.

Again take a look at the hardware section of this forum and you'l find lots of answers.

Thanks for your reply!

I know there is a lots of post out there. I trying to start a conversation about systems and workflow. As a newbie I'm overwhelmed by all that info that let me to a big mistake of buying a quadro 4000 thinking it will work with my ideal upgrade to a gtx 980 ti. How about you Francisco, what's your system like, how about your workflow?? Any tips or advice will be great to start a conversation here!!!

Thanks!!
