fattonyrends
Hello, I have the scene open from server computer, and waht is happening sometimes is that after i stop render, it takes very long time ( over 10 minutes ) to come back being functional. Using 3ds max 14 + vray 3.2 there is no history saving, no autoback-up. Thank you for your ideas for solution
tc1
When you have a long render, usually the system stores page files on the hard drive and loads up your ram with information. After the image has finished rendering, you computer actually takes a long time to 1st of all save the render. Then it removes all temporary files on HD and clears ram . When I render something that rendered over 2-4 hours. It usually takes Maya + vray 3.1 about 5-10 minutes to become back to life. Sometimes I even have to manually close out maya because it's frozen. fattonyrends
Hi T C, the problem is not only after whole image is done. it is also after rendering small region. And i was also checking on the performance and it wa not fully loaded. i have 32gb ram and barely half was busy. I am starting to think that it is simply just a bug. John Dollus
do you have a lot of render channel elements active? If so, deactivate them and try it again to see if you get the same behavior. also, try deactivating the Page Large Images to Disk option in the bitmap proxie section of the Common tab in the render dialog.
