craigellison
Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and considering a career in arch Viz. I recently completed a BA in Games art so I have plenty of experience with 3ds and photoshop. Can anyone recommend any other software I could do with learning and also whats the best way to get a start in this area?
adamsargeant
Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and considering a career in arch Viz. I recently completed a BA in Games art so I have plenty of experience with 3ds and photoshop. Can anyone recommend any other software I could do with learning and also whats the best way to get a start in this area? I assume VRay is included? Rhino is a good one but 3DS is the big one! Depends on type of Viz. More organic things, learn MAYA

philippelamoureux
Vray and Corona are good cpu render engine. Octane is a good gpu engine. You can also check out Unreal Engine 4 if you want to eventually make real-time architectural applications/VR (this would probably be more familiar to you since you have a background in games) 3ds max is a solid choice for modeling. Just pick a render engine now :-)
