Is Mighty Tiles Pro no more?

Is that even surprising ? The pricing was absurd.

The only time I've seen anyone use it was Peter Guthrie's presentation in Venice 2014. To say the least, the workflow was completely absurd too.

Just get the direct competitor's product, they were bit smarter...about everything. Although I can't say having 4 products is epitome of user-friendliness as well. Why is that gaming companies (Quixel, SubstanceDesigner, Epic,etc..) get it all right, but archviz focused plugins have such obfuscated weird business strategies..

You're right, their pricing was not too attractive, I was just surprised by the lack of explanation for the closure, and whether Mighty Tiles will continue in the future or not. I quite liked it when I tried it haha.

Omnitiles looks fantastic though, and the only negative I can think of is by watching the Youtube videos it doesn't seem to have as nice viewport display as Mighty tiles. I guess I'll just have to give the demo a try.

Given the facts that a lot of work went into this plugin and the pricing was not exactly to attract a lot of customers (that could eventually be disappointed), I guess their only intention was to sell this to Autodesk .... and that probably has happened now

hi thanks. i was thinking of something like this: http://www.alucobondusa.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Penn_Medicine_Washington_Square_Ballinger_Alucobond_Plus_Custom_ACM_Photography_Jeffrey_Totaro_1.jpg

here it is horizontal, and it might only have 2 different widths. but i was thinking vertical and 3 different widths.

right now i'm using a bitmap like the one i attached as a test. i use variations as bump, mask, reflection maps etc...

looks good. yeah, then to have 3 different widths! unless that bottom one is narrower than the middle one? i'm going to stick with the bitmap approach for now, especially since i'm not close enough to the building to do actual geometry. thanks for trying though. if you get something, please post :)

i am very upset with mighty tile / mighty tiles pro as i bought into this pluggin a long time ago when it was called might tiles. then all of a sudden about a month after we purchased it mighty tiles sold up to a other company called mighty tiles pro and we had to purchase again this was ok it worked fine it had its quirks but it was a simple work flow when you got to know it so you can guess how annoyed i was when they sold up and now i can even us the models i have made without them all having mighty tiles pro splated across them. arrrgh.
