aristocratic3d
Hi, today I wanted to render a large 20,000 pixel tiff file out of my vray framebuffer. But its hanging up while writing output. so it never could write that tiff file. However in the destination folder there is a file 8 bytes in size. my hard disk still have 174GB free space. is it possible that the files size is going even higher? Any idea? Thanks in advance. Scott Schroeder
TIFF files have a maximum file size of 4 and 2 gigs. The real maximum is 4 gigs but some apps limit the maximum size to 2 gigs according to a document on the TIFF website, so I'm not sure what Vray does when saving. Either way, with that big of a pixel size image, I'm sure you are hitting your maximum save size. Or it is just going to take a really really long time to write the outputs and not instant like you may be used to.

I had been waiting for 5 hours and just forced shutdown half an hour ago. sounds like a tif issue. I am rendering in png this time.
Ernest Burden III
out of my vray framebuffer... If the image is stored by vray, can you output it in another file type? It is done, it is there...
