rosshildick
Hi there. My name is Ross and I currently work in film (most recently, James Bond 007: Spectre) and I want out of the VFX industry and trying to get into archviz... I use Maya and redshift primarily but I hear Max and Vray is the ultimate for archviz - why is this? I also heard there was money in selling archviz assets for unreal...? Is this true? So, anyway, hello from a 28 year old Englishman currently living and working in London.
Guest dialog
3DS Max and Vray are one of the more popular tools to produce renders, but if you know how to use other softwares and render engines, you can literally achieve the same look. Photoshop is a big one as well. Unreal models need to be made very efficient for the real time application. ArchViz models for renders/animations would be totally different as you can really pump the detail up in these. Take a look at http://www.evermotion.org for the kits they sell.
