pierrelucdube
Hi, I have an intermittent problem in 3ds Max Design 2015. Sometimes I'm unable to save my renders. When I click the Save Image button in the render window nothing happens. This problem affect both the Vray Frame Buffer and the standard render window (but is less frequent with the VFB). In addition, the ''Files'' button in the Render Output section of the Render Setup is whether greyed out or just inactive, the save image window just won't appear when I click it. So I have no way to generate an animation. This problem doesn't affect all my scenes and is intermittent like I said before. Everything is fine for a couple days or weeks and then boom, the problem is back. I found out that deleting the 3dsmax.ini file will fix the problem, but never permanently. The problem always comes back after a couple hours or days. And when I delete this file I have to reload all my shortcuts and UI so this isn't a great workaround. Any ideas? James Vella
If using vray, Save using Render Settings > Vray > Frame Buffer > Seperate Render Channels The Nvidia Iray screenshot on the left, I dont use this renderer but I would say its the same as vanilla max, you need to select an output directory before this becomes active - if you havent saved the file this will be greyed out until you select a directory
pierrelucdube
I toggled the separate render channels checkbox and restarted Max but nothing changes, still the same problem. As for Nvidia Iray, I don't use it either, not sure why it was selected. I use Vray RT. Anyway, it didn't solve the problem.
