re vit
I realized that using the Subject means up to 30-40% time loss. Do you use it by default? Or only when some bold issues are seen? Thanks in advance
Francisco Penaloza
well by the manual, it explain that it will increase rendering time, just like everything in V-Ray if you want more quality, you need to pay the price... time. Having said that, personally for exteriors I usually use, Irradiance and Brute force as second bounce. LC is not friendly with large scattered areas or displacement. But that is my take on it. Outside scenes, usually have more light, Retrace may not be nessesary

re vit
And how many Secondary BF Suubdivs in your opinion are enough for good quality 12MP still? 36?
Francisco Penaloza
on the 30's or 60' depending of the lighting. Most of the work will be done by Irr any ways. If you can see the interiors of your building, they will be definitely darker, so be aware of that, and try to compensate with interior lighting if necessary.
