AVx 2 vs AVX Embree?

Hi Guys,

 

I am looking at comparing test power of processors on vray and there is something that I can't understand why

e5-2670xeon x 2 has a render time of 2min 29sek

 

 

 

xeon 1230v3 has 4m 07 sek .

 

and 5820k is 2m 25sek..

 

All done on vray 3.2 5820k is clocked but still..

 

The Question is.Someone said that embree uses avx support and avx2 is faster and e5 2670 doesn't support avx 2 instructios is that the reason ?

 

I am used to calculating and comparing render timese watching cpubenchmark and time so far were always exactly in the same correlation as the points so that confused me...
