Chris MacDonald
Enable pivot snaps and snap the target to the same axis (whether it's x/y) as the camera. Or do you mean you want an orthographic view?
Amen
Under rendering > Exposure Control > activate Physical Camera Exposure and choose an EV number that works. Vray 3.3 Similarly in vray 2. Choose vray Camera > Select a Working (correct Exposure) vray cam in the Scene and all standard cams will render like the standard cam.
Chris MacDonald
... But he asked how to set the camera to the front view?
Amen
Right. My mistake. But using the standard cam for an orthogonal protection and using my tip works quite well.
Corey Beaulieu
In the render setup menu under the Vray tab there is a Cameras section. From the drop down menu under Cameras choose Orthogonal. This will give you an exact Ortho projection using the Vray Physical Camera once you follow Chris's advice on how to set that up. Or just use the Transform Type-In Menu (F12) to 0-out/ 90-out all the rotation values X,Y, and Z.
