SLI mode

Recommended Posts

So I didnt look for new hardware since my last update of CPU 2011-2012 i7 3990K. I am not in hardware anymore, so I need help. I have GTX 660 OC gigabyte, and I want one more to put in SLI mode, need it for my perspective view in 3ds max, and also for UE rendering. So my question is do I need to put exactly same card in SLI? If don't what card should I look for? Also If you have something to recomend pleas write down :) Tnx

I am now looking MSI. But I am asking myself what is with ATI? Long time ago they had problems with drivers, after that I never consider buying ATI? How does ATI work with 3ds max and UE ? Can I have more from ATI than from GTX? Anyway I will buy GTX but I just want to hear what is happening on other side :)

Drivers, as far as I know, still remain horrible especially for professional apps. Things are somehow better in gaming, but that's not my field of interest. Unreal Engine uses direct3D, so any consumer gpu should do the job well.

As for the brand, any of the above would be good, I think. You could buy from EU stores too http://geizhals.de/evga-geforce-gtx-960-supersc-acx-2-0-04g-p4-3966-kr-04g-p4-3967-kr-a1241646.html?hloc=at&hloc=de.
