liorsturlesi
Hi, I'm keep getting this attached (jpg) error message every time i try to run the manager or server for 3dsmax 2012 and 2016 (i have both installed ) This error first appeared after installing the 3dsmax 2016 (in addition to 3dsmax 2012 which was already installed on the machine). Is it possible to run backburner for both versions. Currently the two backburner versions installed on my computer. Thank you all in advance, Lior. Scott Dombrowski
I am not 100% certain, but I think you can just run the latest version of backburner and it will accept jobs from older versions of Max. I would uninstall all of your Backburners to clear things out and install the latest to see if that helps.
Scott Schroeder
Yep, you need the latest version of backburner only. Having 2 copies of backburner might be causing the issue. Uninstall both copies of backbuner and install just the latest version from the Autodesk website. The only other thing I can think of is since 2014( I think?), they have re-worked some of the code with backburner so you might not be able to run a version previous to 2014. If you need to run 2012, you'll have to find the stand alone install for backburner 2012 somewhere. The install that comes with Max 2012 had a ton of problems with it straight out of the install and needed several hotfixes.
