David Turner
I have a client who wants the final prints to be approximately 25' wide by 12' high. Does anyone have experience with rendering-out images for such a final print size and if so, what was the resolution that you rendered such images? Thanks. -DT
rogue3d
Really depends on the printer. Find out how it will be printed and talk to them. They should tell you what resolution they will print the image. No point creating a 300dpi image that will be printed at 80dpi. My last image printed at 20'×14' was printed at 80dpi. 10 years ago we created a billboard rendering that was printed at 25dpi Also, if you use photoshop, you will have to save the psd as a large format psd. The regular psd can only go up to 2gb in size. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
philippelamoureux
I'd say a 8k render (resulting in a 25 dpi image, view distance 15 meters) or a 16k render (resulting in a 52 dpi image, view distance 3 meters) could work... Maybe more experienced users will say otherwise. There's a calculator on this page to help you out : http://planetcalc.com/1688/
