I am preparing myself to open up my own business in the Arch Viz field. No employees, just me. I know it would be wise to register my DBA and business itself, and I know I will need to get an EIN from the IRS as well as get a sales tax license. Are there any other licenses (other than software licenses) or permits I will need?

All sounds good. But an EIN is a (good-to-have) business number, so you might need a corporation or LLC for that. Otherwise, you should be good to render architecture and interiors. If you also want to do filed design drawings, you probably need more in most states.

I have a corporation, which had it's EIN, and a seperate DBA (registered with my state), but one bank account with both legal names.

Good luck!

+1 John probably don't need sales tax for professional service, but good to check. Get on Reddit. Very active small business / entrepreneur help threads there. I would also recommend you find and consult a good CPA before you do anything. Will save you a lot of headaches down the road.
