Sketchrender
Dell Precision T7910 Windows 10 , updated Bios and since the autorestart it has died. Can anybody help. I have been on to dell. The ST will not register with them, so there is no getting any help , they want an order number which I don't have. Bought it second hand and paid a lot even at that.# Has anybody heard of this issue before? Thank you phil
Scott Schroeder
Can you at lest get into your settings right when you turn the machine on, before windows even starts booting? You should be able to roll back your bios version to the previous one or find an older bios version online and install that off of a usb drive. It sounds as if not everything installed right or the update wasn't 100% compatible with your hardware. Did you get the bios update from Dell? Sketchrender
Hi Just thought I would update this. All sorted, thanks to Dell. Service Tag was registered. The BIOS must not have updated properly on install and thus, a new mother board had to be installed. So It's sorted and Ordered a second machine so I am never down again. Dell are expensive but the service I have to say is second to none. Excellent. I don't understand the technical end of how a small piece of Software, Ie the BIOS Update ,can render a Motherboard inoperable? If anybody knows I think I know just about every possible Bios trick at this stage, resetting flashing, Clearing......... Thank you Phil
jasminepeterson
I updated my ipmmb-fm bios to 8.21 Rev.A .. When I try to boot up my computer now, I get a blank screen and my keyboard (usb) doesn't light up anymore. I do hear the fans spinning and can see the lights on the computer are on. Sketchrender
I would restart start tapping the f9 key . If nothing happens. There a number of things to do. But if the bios failed to update. Order a new motherboard, or if it's under warantre, ring .
