maximilianwarwitz
Hey guys, I´ve got a problem with my engine that I´m currently modeling. I´ve got a round object that needs to be planar at 45°, 90°, 135°, 180°, etc. The even numbers aren´t the problem. I did that with the normal "make planar" tool. But how can I do that with 45° for example? I already tried rotating the whole object by 45° and try to make it planar again but for some reason it didn´t work... Thanks for your help! I put a screenshot in the attachment. The red lines need to be at a 90° angle just luke the thing above.
Nicolai Bongard
Perhaps you can use a slice plane instead? Then you could just rotate it to whatever you need, and snap to the vertex you want and then clean up the geometry?
maximilianwarwitz
Perfect! That works really well! I really forgot the slice plane...I´m not using it very often even though it´s a brilliant feature in max!
