angelfdez
Greetings, I have a new computer: Intel i7-5960X, 32GB RAM and Nvidia GTX 980 Ti I'm currently using Autodesk 3ds Max 2016 and Vray 3.3, However I've also tried with older versions of Vray and 3dsmax 2015/2014, but Vray still won't work. I've been rendering for years with my other computer, and that's why I don't understand what is happening with this new computer. I've tried opening my old 3dsmax projects (that will not have any problems rendering on my other computer), and even just creating a scene with a simple box with an vray material, vray sun and a camera, but I won't be able to render the scene. Even with a simple configuration: http://i.imgur.com/vtLDzhM.png When I press render, the V-ray frame buffer will open, and It will stay there forever. Re rendering window will stay at "Prepass 1 of 2..." forever. But nothing will happen http://i.imgur.com/g0aLixh.png Looking at the V-ray messages console, the last message is: "Setting up 16 Thread(s)". But It will stay there forever Could please anyone help me? I really don't know what to do Thanks in advance
andrewmunene
I think the first thing you should do is try and install a different version of vray and see if it works. THis way you can start eliminating potential issues one at a time..
