valeriaospital
Hi! I am new to 3dmax. I ve got 2016 3dmax and Vray. When I try to render I get the following warning: "camera matrix is not orthonormal and max compatible shade context is on" and I get a black image. I have read I should uncheck the shade content on system at render setup... but I dont seem to have that option. If anybody has any clue of what is going on It would be much appreciated! Thanks! valeria
Nicolai Bongard
If you press the green button that says default and toggle it to something like expert, you should get some more options. Not sure if what you are looking for is there, but its worth a shot!

Casey Hawley
Have you tried using a VRay Physical Camera?
Francisco Penaloza
You may have a camera correction modifier on a regular camera or the build in VRay is not working. Check your camera, if it is VRay, then un check camera correction. If it is a regular Max camera then delete the camera correction. Max 2016 should have default new Physical camera, but sometimes when you import old scenes or scenes from other people , legacy cameras may load with them. A quick way to fix it, would be. go to the camera view, then hit P this will change to perspective view, but will keep your point of view, then hit Ctrl+C, this will create a new camera in the same position. Then do a test render, it should work fine now.
Corey Beaulieu
The Camera Matrix error is not the issue. I get it on almost every file without issue. Something else is going on. Exposure Control?
