brianbabu
Hi, I am a bit new to 3DS MAX. My question is, is is possible to have different sun positions for different scenes in the same MAX file like you can in SketchUp? I've tried having the different vray suns in different layers but even with the layers hidden the sun in the hidden layers still illuminates the scene. Simply put, I want, for instance, having camera 1 with sun in position 1, camera 2 with sun in a different position etc etc.... Thanks
Nicolai Bongard
In your render settings there is a box you can check that is called include hidden lights. If that is checked, your lights will still light up your scene even though they are hidden. The sun is a light, so i guess that is what is causing the problem. An alternative way to do it is to play around with state sets.
SkylineArch
You can select the sun you want and "enable" it, turning it on basically. I have scenes with multiple suns, named to match the camera they go with.
tmacbriar
Suns can be enabled or disabled in the Vray Lightlister in the Tools dropdown Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
Adam Kruvand
You want to check out Max "Scene States". You can set different "States" for each camera. Or you can animate the sun settings. The trouble with animation is - you never remember to flip to the right frame before you render.
