shineugene
I am a relatively newcomer to 3ds max, so forgive me if the answer to my question is so obvious. Does anyone know what to do with the Exposure Control Setting in the Environment and Effects panel when using vray physical camera? Do you just ignore it and leave it at or do you have to set it to "VRay Exposure Control" and then set the mode to "From VRay camera" I have looked into quite a number of vray rendering tutorials but this little detail is never really mentioned anywhere. Chris MacDonald
What version of 3DS max and VRay are you on? The workflow has changed fairly recently with new versions of max and vray.

Francisco Penaloza
in Max 2014 just control the exposure from your camera. If you like you can load VRay exposure controls in the environment panel and control from there, be sure to choose the right mode, Camera. Photographic or from Camera. everything is explained in the manual.
christosviskadourakis
Personally I ignore it and I change the exposure from the camera settings. It works, so..
