jonasmotiejunas
Hello. Is it possible to create color variation per item without the use of forest color? I need to manually scatter a curtain object to hide the building interior, but without using the forest pack itself, the forest color map doesnt seem to work. Any tips? Thank you. Andres Saarnak
One way is to collapse all curtains and use MaterialByElement modifier and MultiTexture. Or if you copy-paste your curtains anyway, use ForestPack in Custom Edit mode to copy-paste and forest color works.

Nicolai Bongard
The forest map only works on objects scattered with forest pack. However if you use railclone you can create a multisub material and set the pieces generated by railclone to have a random material ID.
Andres Saarnak
When you use forest to copy-paste it´s important to select all items in the forest pack object and click Re-Seed under Tree Editor tab. Otherwise, it won´t give random matID to copied items.
