mikekime
I am really enjoying Siger Shaders but I was wondering if there are other solutions out there like it. Something that would have accurate Rubber materials. May be rusty paint. Anything really. Basically compiled material libraries, but not like "5000 materials" or anything. thanks
Corey Beaulieu
I am unfamiliar with this product you mention, but I have to say that you should learn to create your own materials. A little help is always nice, but knowing what to expect from your setup will get you so much more than just downloading one. Once you know what to expect, you can better determine where something else may be lacking, i.e. a material may inform you of an insufficient light setup or the need for a better render setup. That said, I have in the past, downloaded models from 3DSky that have the material I can't seem to nail down just to borrow what I need. It's a short hand, but if it works, you can learn what to shoot for on your own the next time. I guess I am just coming from a "teach a man to fish..." mentality. The automated tools can get you started, but rendering is about idealism as much as it is realism so every situation is unique.
