As topic says, i just made the materials into v-ray advanced materials and cannot obviously render anything without them. Now i'm stuck with bunch of v-ray materials and a big project which would take countless of hours to re-texture.

Btw, using cinema 4d r14.

ty in advance,

Lifesaving if solved

You may want to post this on the VRay for C4d to get up to date help actually.

I know that the alpha work different in VRay for C4d, it is located on the weight channel and you may need to flip it Black to white, instead of White to black. I can't remember now.

But switching from one render to the other is not a simple step. I would recommend to just stay with regular C4d material for this project and for the next one start from scratch with VRay materials. If you have time, then go through the alphas shaders and relocate manually.

I would recommend to visit VRay for C4d for more help tho.

Best luck.

I am not a current user of Cinema 4d with VRay. Last time I used, a few years back I saw some issues translating materials. But the VRay for C4d was working to solve those issues, that why I would recommend to contact them and see how it works now.

Physical render for Cinema 4D it pretty good too, a little slower than VRay but it may get you a long way if you don't have time to remap or adjust all materials to render with VRay.
