Sho-Time1
I'm making some revisions to a older project with the updated "faster" settings of Vray3.4 Im having little to no luck with getting the same render time or even close while getting the same level of noise from the first iteration. everything seems to take 2x-4x longer and the noise is much higher without using the De-noiser. Ive watched Grant warricks tutorial on the Vray updates but im having 0 luck optimizing my scene. HELPPP! Should the new work flow be to have terrible results without the De-noiser and depend on the De-noiser to clean up images??
Scott Schroeder
Post your settings and images. You literally have one setting, maybe 2, to adjust with the new workflow. I was able to cut my render times down by almost 50% in most cases with very little noise and that's without the use of the denoiser.
Sho-Time1
I think i figured it out. Unchecking Probabilistic lights significantly reduced the amount of noise which allowed me to drop the max subdivs in the bucket image sampler. Ive had issues before with Probabilistic lights it seems like the setting is a double edge sword never works as its described.
