pierrealexandresoucy
To be honest its probably going to work but not in an optimal way, and the fact that you are missing a discrete GPU might cause you some trouble with the display feature. I have a question four you do you want to learn 3D Art in general or you already know 3D Art and just want to learn 3DS max specifically ? If you want to learn, 3D in general, there are free options out there with less harsh system requirements. Blender is maybe more suited for learning since its free and you can get many help online. here are the requirements for Blender: 32-bit dual core 2Ghz CPU with SSE2 support. 2 GB RAM. 24 bits 1280×768 display. Mouse or trackpad. OpenGL 2.1 compatible graphics with 512 MB RAM. I know that its scary to learn an other software that see low used in the industry but the fundamentals are all the sames. From my experience, i have worked with maya , 3DS and Softimage and the only differences are the terms used and the name of tools. There is no visible quality drawback form one or the others. (videogames) If you just want to learn 3DS max because you fancy working with it or your are adding it to your workflow, i suggest upgrading components to get the best experiences possible Keep in mind that those software are just tools, and being flexible is always the best !
